Thank you for your concern, Sune. A lot of effort was put into a
coherent branding message.

It would help to know what your specific complaint is. The actual
discrepancy is mentioned nowhere in this thread nor any other message
related to this Dot story.

What anyone thought was agreed upon and what is actually the branding
policy may not be in accord. The original author of this piece is a
kde-promo subscriber and contributor. It would be helpful to him and
others to _know_ the policy.

I also take issue with the assessment that proofreaders need to be
more careful. Several people worked on this story and cared for it in
different ways. It's not a "be more careful" issue. Without knowing
what the specific complaint and its background, it's not clear to me
what correction needs to be put in. And to put a fine point on it, I'm
uncomfortable with the chiding.

It would be helpful to know:
- what the story said before it was changed
- the reference for the agreed upon usage of "KDE". In other words, is
this a matter of perception or is there some documentation that gave
rise to this?

Yes, the best way to reach dot editors is by email
([email protected]). IRC is fine if someone happens to be available
to correct something. Email gets the message to everyone.

Carl
