I tried to translate all the major version release into Slovenian in the past.
Well I skipped the 4.5-4.6 ones since I had some personal problems in my life
during that time, but with 4.8 I didn't have enough time. If I remember
correctly I usually needed about 3 days to do it properly and not in a hurry.

That said, I like the idea of having announcements only on The Dot only since
then there is only one place that news media will link to and probably this
one place can get higher in various places as there are more links to it. It
is also nicer since it also has the ability to comment right there. Also The
Dot has other new stories and RSS feed and maybe more people will subscribe to
it or just check the page more often if it becomes our central news page.

Oh and I didn't know The Dot was translatable. If that is so, then it is even
better. Maybe we can even get other news stories available in more languages.

When it comes to this announcement, I can also help. I already helped with
screenshots for the 4.8. I just used the defaults for them, i.e. created a
fresh new user on the system and took the screenshots. The only thing I
changes was that I search the internet for some blog post from Nuno where he
describes the tweaks to font setting to make them look nicer :)

I can work on screenshots again, and I can also help Jos (and others) go
through Commit-Digests. And af course when the day comes I will post the news
on our social media outlets and on some other news pages, as susal :)

I don't have the Promo Pad account yet, so it would be great if someone could
set it up for me.
