Hello KDE Promo,

What other specific topics related to KDE do you think should be proposed?

Proposing a topic *does not* mean that you have to present on it.
Looking for topics to give potential presenters ideas about what to
present on.

This is a great opportunity for the KDE Community to share the KDE
Manifesto and the results it produces. Exactly the kind of activity
that is the intention of KDE Promo. There are about 350 people on the
KDE Promo mailing list ... presumably people have interest in what KDE
is all about. Please join in the effort to make something happen at
FOSDEM. In your experience of KDE, what stands out for you as
something that could be presented at the largest Free Software even in
Europe?

One of the tracks at FOSDEM will be the CrossDesktop DevRoom, which
will host Desktop-related
talks.

We are now inviting proposals for talks about Free/Libre/Open-source
Software on the topics of Desktop development, Desktop applications and
interoperativity amongst Desktop Environments. This is a unique opportunity
to show novel ideas and developments to a wide technical audience.

Suggested topic areas:
general desktop matters,
applications that enhance desktops and web (when related to desktop).

Talks can be very specific, such as developing mobile applications with Qt
Quick; or as general as predictions for the fusion of Desktop and web in 5
years time. Topics that are of interest to the users and developers of all
desktop environments are especially welcome.
