Thanks. I actually also made a draft of the announcement:
https://promo.notes.kde.org/88

Somehow, I want(ed) to make the first sentence(s) a bit more bold. Something
like "The Premier Free Desktop Suite Releases Major Update" or something.
But it's hard as we're not about the desktop anymore and I didn't really
manage a good way of saying it in a more neutral way.

In general, I think our 4.9 announcement was simply to sweet. We're not bold
and aggressive enough in how we word our stuff. We're the major Linux
Desktop and the only one (let's face it) which has any future. With GTK on
life support and the vast majority of GNOME folk leaving the mothership,
while on this side Qt is picking up steam more than ever and KDE benefiting
from that in new ways, the game is over. Our announcement(s) and
communication should reflect that fact. Maybe I give it a shot again later,
for now, I'm kind'a out of energy for this.

So now it's time to walk the dog and think about my health.

Hugs and love,
Jos
