Re: No more talking about Nepomuk to end users

There is a counter-argument to the "hide the developer oriented names"
that we experienced in KDE Telepathy.

When the project was started (many many years ago) we had the plan the
name should be completely hidden, user's don't need to know about the
backend. We should be so integrated into the workspace that we don't
need a name, which is why we have such a silly one. This is why you
can't see it in our UI or names in the menu.

Turns out (for us) this was a real problem [0] that keeps coming up.
We needed to be using a name on our blog posts to try and get people
involved in helping development, we needed a name for our self-promo
and most importantly we needed a name for user's to search for help in
userbase and forums and bugzilla. Promo is a lot about branding, so
not having a brand name isn't a very good start.

We ended up drifting away from the idea, and using the name more publicly.

I don't think this applies to Akonadi, as it can be covered by the
name kmail, korganiser and all of that falls under KDE PIM.

With Nepomuk it is a name you see in the GUI, in particular the KCM
for configuring desktop search has Nepomuk all over it. It may be
better to do the complete opposite and embrace it.
