Monitor-wise I've got a 19" that's been to brussels before, I could bring that (but compared to all the new-fangled stuff that's been slung around on this list, it may seem terribly retro -- I am of the "yes, this is KDE 4.8.3 on a four year old laptop and it's fine" persuasion).
