As a few mails on kde-promo pointed out, we have a problem with finding artwork. That's because we don't really have a good place to put it. Now I'm currently looking for artwork for an article written by Howard Chan about the changes in our release schedule but there will be more articles in the future. In general, we could use a pool of artwork for various things, kind'a like stock pictures depicting a wide variety of things like: What we do: * release cycle * development * Applications * Frameworks 5 (!!!) * Plasma Workspaces * desktops * mobile devices * tablets * device spectrum * code Computing stuff: * cloud computing * security * identification * storage * online Events: * party * conference * event Verticals: * education * government * commercial * finance * healthcare * legal * telecom More vague stuff: * possibilities * new ideas * growth * discovery * collaboration * innovation and I am sure we can think of more. That is a long list, I am aware of that. Some of it already has (some) artwork in the Oxygen icons. And yes, perhaps we do need some of it with Konqi and some of it with a KDE logo or in another form. Whatever. I would just like to start a discussion: WHERE do we put this (james talked about how we should be open to various venues like the forums. I think we do need an easy way to submit this, categorize and search it - git(hub)/svn are not very suitable for both. And when we have a location, I'd also like to see some artwork... We could make a list, perhaps... Hugs, J _______________________________________________ This message is from the kde-promo mailing list.
