Maybe it's time to take a step back right there, and get the facts straight instead of bending for the sake of your argument. You don't like it, understood. Your input has been heard, and it's accepted as your opinion. The majority thinks differently, and that is something you are going to have to accept. Honestly, I think you could tone down your criticism and the way of expressing it. It doesn't make the bikeshed any more likely to be painted in your favourite colour. It doesn't make your emails any more likely to be read in the future, and taken seriously.
