Seth,

Thanks for the work! After Stu put the text on the dot, David Fauré had some
comments which were implemented. I then copied the text to the kde.org svn
repository, updated some files there and send a mail to kde-announce.

To get an idea about what is involved, here is a file with the process we use
to do releases:
http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=sysadmin%2Frelease-tools.git&a=blob&hb=HEAD&f=RELEASE_PROMOTION

And the promo release announcement guidelines:
http://community.kde.org/Promo/RA_guidelines

Your help saves us from having to write the initial text. Unfortunately we
seem to have a 'perfect storm' on our hands with Carl, Stuart, Maria AND
myself all being almost unavailable (I really don't have time to be doing
what I do right now...) so this process is breaking down and we need new
volunteers...

If you (and others?) are interested, we can initiate you ;-) into some of the
other steps: actually pushing the dot story (making you a dot editor), and
getting the ability for updating kde.org (access to SVN).

We'll help, esp in the beginning (and I must admit, it's a bit new to me too,
I only have been doing the svn steps for a couple of months).

Up for it?

/J
