From time to time, there will be requests for assistance on the list, as well as ideas for promotion. You can participate in any of those. There are few concepts that define what we're doing and how. * The Manifesto [1] * The Code of Conduct [2] In the past, we have not been aggressive (intrusive) with marketing efforts, which fits the general mood of the KDE Community (IMO). You're free to contribute what and how you want. A common way that people have promoted KDE is to participate in local tech and FOSS events. So MeetUps and technology advocacy groups might be fertile ground. If you really want to jump into the KDE experience, you might consider attending Akademy [3] in Brno, Czech Republic, happening the 6th to 12th of September. The time is short, but it's the ultimate KDE thing. Welcome.
