Drop of quality on dot.kde.org and how to solve it

Good morning gals and guys

Situation:
In the last weeks and months the dot had a drop in (good) stories, we missed 
several release announcements (e.g. 14.12 beta releases and KF5 releases) and 
IIRC the comments weren't (at least regularly) moderated.
This changed a bit recently with the interview with Franklin and the story 
about Calligra Gemini and the first Akademy stories were more extensive as 
well (though with quite some mistakes and typoes).

Problem:
The current dot-editors and promo team lacks time and can't spend as much time 
as they did few months ago and we missed to look for new people that 
substitute us. At the same time Riddell is (or was) one of the only people who 
put something on the dot. He is not a dot-editor IIRC and I don't want to 
blame him but rather us that we didn't do a better job.

Another problem is that stories that came via the dot-editors list are 
partially ignored (e.g. the one with the subject "[dot] KDE e.V. Quarterly 
Report for Q1+Q2 2014").

And in the end it's quite simple: The great software created by KDE deserves a 
better promo work and better stories (as Carl wrote as well in another email). 
So let's bring the quality of the dot and the promo work back to it's original 
level...

Solution:
There are different things I want and we should do about it.
- We have some new and interested people, let's guide them: Seth, Devaja, 
Martín González should be dot-editors as they did (and do) some great 
interviews, stories and promo work!
- I will blog in a minute about the lack in promo and dot work and thus hope 
to attract some more contributors who we can guide as well.
- Another idea would be regular IRC meetings to have a place where people can 
come and ask about KDE branding, discuss about promo ideas and exchange some 
marketing experience.
- About the comments on the dot and their moderation. Can you Carl or somebody 
else tell me where to look for these and how to moderate there?
- Oh and please, can somebody please forward this to our forums?
