After the Docs workshop at Akademy last year, it was evident to all of us participants that even for the technically savvy person who just wanted to contribute to the docs in some way, the mainsite was not working. Ingo was doing some behind-the-scenes work on the site first, so we've left most of the changes for the future. Some folks have stepped forward to do a redesign, but again, that's on hold for now. >> On May 2, 2015 5:23 AM, "Markus Slopianka" <[email protected] >> <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >> >> On Saturday 02 May 2015 01:11:56 Valorie Zimmerman wrote: >> > Isn't this really who http://www.kde.org is for? I have to strongly disagree here. KDE is a community, and we Do Not Require technical expertise from users or contributors. I didn't learn to compile for quite awhile after becoming a contributor, and I don't do it often, since I'm not a coder. We want our site to be useful for those who are thinking about using KDE on their desktops or other devices, but don't know much about us. We want our site to be useful for those considering volunteering some of their time and expertise to us. We want our site to be useful for those who want to contribute money or other valuable things to further our work. Right?
