I don't insinuate otherwise Albert, however, there is a difference between actively pursuing the involvement of specific people or not. In my opinion the email above is a step forward to the right direction but if Emile and other already involved are open to have the VDG involved there are other steps to go through. What I am suggesting is to actively pursue a user centred design which can happen with the involvement of people from the VDG (like the work that Balazs and Tietze do). Actively pursuing means not only add a request in this mailing list but also try to post to the VDG forum and make sure there are clear ways for people to get involved. There are people out there with design skills that would like to start sink their teeth in something, to advance their skill set. As it stands right now it is not very clear how someone can get involved (at least if one is not at the Akademy), what tasks are there to be done, what expertise are needed, which website we are referring to, etc. My intention was not to frame it around if we are open enough but how we can do more to open to involve more people. I think that is inline with the outcomes of the Evolving KDE results that Lydia published a while back ( http://blog.lydiapintscher.de/2015/07/30/evolving-kde-survey-results/). Specifically the paragraph 4, "What holds you back in your involvement with the KDE community".
