Albert, This is a very clear message, and not bad wording at all. I agree 100% it would be great if more people were involved. Also, this is an easy thing that new people could easily get involved with. It doesn't take any programming knowledge to write a release note, only writing skills and the nerve to ask others for help if needed. thanks, Jeremy On Fri, Aug 21, 2015 at 4:41 PM, Albert Astals Cid <[email protected]> wrote: > El Divendres, 21 d'agost de 2015, a les 22:40:24, Albert Astals Cid va > escriure: >> El Divendres, 21 d'agost de 2015, a les 20:13:58, Τάσος Κούτλας va escriure: >> > OK cool, I still stand by my comment that this is an outfashioned way to >> > engage users that needs changing. >> >> I am going to agree i'm not the best person in my writing. >> >> OTOH this is not a list for users, it is a list for contributors. >> >> If anyone writes to this list i'm going to assume you're going to >> contribute. >> >> And yes, saying "the screenshot is wrong" is already a contribution, but >> since i knew that Kai knew how to take a screenshot with the "right" colors >> I asked him to take one. >> >> And yes, my way to ask him wasn't the best one, probably because i don't >> want to be doing promo, but since noone is doing it, i am, and it probably >> shows i don't really enjoy it. > > Ok, again very bad wording in "since noone is doing it", there is people doing > promo stuff and more than me, specially for this KDE Applications release > Mario, Jeremy, Valorie, Kai and more. > > But my feeling (may be wrong as all feelings) is that i have to come here and > beg for people to write something, and then some of the already very > overworked people (Mario, Jeremy, Valorie, Kai and more) do write something. > > It'd be great if: > a) I didn't have to beg people we have to write stuff > b) More people helped writing the stuff so the very overworked one could do > some of the other stuff they do. > > Let's hope i didn't use bad wording in here too :D > > Cheers, > Albert > >> >> Cheers, >> Albert >> >> > Happy to see that it did not affect you. >> > >> > Tassos >> > >> > On 21 Aug 2015 20:11, "Kai Uwe Broulik" <[email protected]> wrote: >> > > Hi, >> > > >> > > I don't think Albert meant to be rude, if that's what you're referring >> > > to >> > > >> > > :) >> > > >> > > Also, I did create new screenshots and now we showcase our applications >> > > in >> > > all >> > > their Breez'ified glory. >> > > >> > > Cheers, >> > > Kai Uwe >> > > >> > > >> > > _______________________________________________ >> > > This message is from the kde-promo mailing list. >> > > >> > > Visit https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-promo to unsubscribe, >> > > set >> > > digest on or temporarily stop your subscription. >> >> _______________________________________________ >> This message is from the kde-promo mailing list. >> >> Visit https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-promo to unsubscribe, set >> digest on or temporarily stop your subscription. > > > _______________________________________________ > This message is from the kde-promo mailing list. > > Visit https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-promo to unsubscribe, set digest on or temporarily stop your subscription. _______________________________________________ This message is from the kde-promo mailing list.
