The whole VDG (that is, everyone who regularly posts mockups in the VDG forum 
and is therefore granted access to our storage) has write access to the shared 
VDG folder. If you want to only grant write access to the promo group, your 
folder would have to put it elsewhere and have the sysadmins create a new 
group with write access to it.
That would raise the barrier for VDG people to contribute promo material, 
though.

I don't think the VDG folder currently gives read access to everyone, but that 
should be doable.
