I've created a new note for the release text copy, at -
https://notes.kde.org/p/15.12_release_text

It's more or less complete with all the information that was in the
notes at https://notes.kde.org/p/release_applications_15_12 as of
writing.

I've tried to keep it a little more friendly and informal and in first
person than the previous announce message. If that's a problem let me
know and I'll make the required changes.

Thanks Ian, I was able to add an entire section on games from those notes :-)
