Hi Aracele,

This is really great! Thank you both <3.

I did not have time to read through all of it yet, but here are some
corrections for the first part:

- please drop the word "the" before GNU in the sentence: "In 1984,
Richard Stallman started developing the GNU (GNU is Not Unix), a
completely free operating system based on Unix, which was
proprietary."
- 1991: "The Linux Kernel arises": drop the word "arises" - it's the
wrong verb. You could just say "The Linux Kernel" as a header
- 1993: The order of the sentence needs to be changed to: "In 1993,
the first free distributions begin to emerge". I'm not sure what you
mean by "which were formed by the junction of GNU and Linux".
'Junction' is the wrong term. Do you mean fusion/merge, perhaps? Or
rather: "In 1993, the first free distributions begin to emerge, based
in GNU and Linux"?
- 1995: drop the "the" before KDE. KDE is a propre name and should be
used without an article.
- However, for the 1996 entry, there needs to be a "The" added at the
beginning of the second sentence: "The name 'KDE' was a pun..."
- could you please change the sentence for the "KDE e.V. was created"
to: "KDE e.V. was founded" and instead of "In 1997, was created in
Berlin the KDE e.V, the nonprofit organization that represents
financially and legally the KDE community." it should be
"In 1997, KDE e.V., the nonprofit that represents the KDE community
financially and legally, was founded in Tübingen, Germany."
- 1998: This sentence needs a different order --> "The foundation
agreement for the KDE Free Qt Foundation is signed by KDE e.V. and
Trolltech, then owner of Qt. The Foundation ensures the permanent
availability of Qt as Free Software."
- 1999: typos: Second sentence should be " It was so charming that it
replaced the previous project mascot, Kandalf, from version 3.x on."
- Also 1999: should be: "In October 1999, the second meeting of KDE
developers took place in Erlangen, Germany.
- 2000: please use "The releases that once referred to the project as
"K Desktop Environment", began referring to it only as "KDE Desktop".
- 2001: should be: "In March 2001, the creation of a community women's
group was announced. The KDE Women aim to help increase the number of
women in free software communities, particularly in KDE."
- 2002: please use "...developers gathered for the third KDE meeting..."
- 2002: KDE 3, there needs to be a "the" added in "...translation of
the project.."
- 2003: please drop the "the" before KDE
- 2003, Kastle: "from various countries of the world" --> "from
various countries"
- 2004: first sentence should be : "In August 2004, the first
international meeting of the community took place."
- 2006: Should read: "In March 2006, the first meeting of Spanish KDE
contributors took place in Barcelona. Since then, Akademy-ES has
turned into an annual event."
- 2007, KDE 4: change the first sentence to: "In May 2007, the alpha 1
version of KDE 4, codenamed "Knut", was announced."
- 2008, KDE 4: please drop the "the" before "Plasma". Add a comma
after KWin, I'm confused by this sentence: "The new frameworks Phonon
and Solid represented the restructuring also made in its libraries."
It does not make sense to me.
- 2008, KDE Community: The first sentence needs a different order -->
"From the announcement of version 4.1 on there was already a tendency
to refer to KDE as a "community" and not just as a "project"."
- 2009, Camp KDE: Please change to "In January 2009, the first edition
of Camp KDE took place in Negril, Jamaica. It was the first KDE event
in the Americas. After that, there were two more US-based conferences,
in 2010 in San Diego, and another in 2011 in San Francisco."
- 2009, Desktop Summit: please change to: "In July 2009, the first
Desktop Summit, a joint conference of the KDE and Gnome communities,
took place in Gran Canaria, Spain."

I'll try to go over the rest either later today or on the weekend.

Claudia
