That works. Our plan is to publish the press release on KDE's website,
email it to a couple of friendly journalists beforehand, under embargo,
and publish a background story on dot.kde.org, our news site linking to
the press release.

We'll send you links once bits and pieces are up.

Publishing is planned for Thursday, Thursday 9am ET, 6am PT. That's
15:00 in CEST, where most of us are located. (I looked it up, should be
correct this time around, Todd. :-)).

I'd really like to avoid pushing this to Friday, since it's hard to get
a journalists attention that late in the week. Our experience is that
sending something out on Friday only gets a fraction of the attention,
since people able to put time into it are usally already booked for the
rest of the day, especially for those who only receive it in the
afternoon. The following Monday, it's old news and won't be considered.
Let's aim for Thursday and push, push, push.
