However, a task with checklists is a pretty good way of keeping track of what is going on, how things are progressing and what still needs to be done. It is especially useful for when contributors who have not followed all the conversations, want to jump in because they have have finished other tasks and are now free to lend a hand. If you don't have an updated task, helping out just becomes so much more complicated for everybody who hasn't been in the conversations from the beginning. At least that is my experience.
