Hi Andre,

As promised, I have worked on a press release and a dot article and I am
attaching drafts for both. Please do not hesitate to add comments, corrections
or suggestions to the documents so we can work them in and create final,
publishable drafts.

Any additions, please clearly flag them us such, so we don't overlook them.

In another order of business, we will need graphic media: screenshots,
animations, videos, to illustrate the texts and helps clarify what we are
going on about.

I would also be good to provide examples of use. You know, like your war-
declaration idea? But less contentious. Something like:

"Roberta is requesting a government grant for her company and has to present a
signed declaration of revenue for the past fiscal year. She can use Okular blah
blah blah."

Anything you can think of, maybe including examples from real life, like from
the use they give Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop at NATO or in companies you work
with, will be helpful.

Cheers

Paul

# Okular becomes part of Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop

g10 Code GmbH, KDE patron and creator of the GnuPG encryption engine, will add Okular to Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop, its integrated collection of security tools and applications.

Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop allows users to easily encrypt and decrypt private documents and emails, manage and use digital certificates, and now digitally sign and verify signatures on documents.

Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop is quickly becoming an indispensable tool for handling and processing confidential and sensitive information and is approved in Germany for government-restricted file and mail encryption and used by NATO for EU/NATO RESTRICTED documents. The suite has a large customer base with hundreds of thousands of installations across Europe and is readily available in Germany either through the major public sector IT suppliers or through a framework agreement with the Federal Government.

With the inclusion of Okular, KDE's advanced lightweight PDF reader, g10 Code adds document signing and signature verification to the list of features provided by Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop. A digitally signed document guarantees to the recipient that it was issued by the signer and has not been tampered with in any way during transmission.

It is worth noting that Okular recently became the first, and at the time of writing the only, software package to be awarded the Blue Angel certificate issued by the German Federal Environment Agency. With the Blue Angel, the agency certifies, among other things, the openness and verifiability of the code, ensuring that Okular is a secure and reliable application that can guarantee the privacy of its users and the confidentiality of their documents.

# Gpg4win suite of desktop encryption utilities now includes the Okular PDF reader

[Location] - [Date]

g10 Code GmbH today announced the integration of KDE's Okular PDF reader into the company's Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop suite of encryption and security applications.

The move will enable individuals, businesses and government agencies to sign and reliably verify signatures on documents exchanged electronically. This will set the standard for the secure and trusted exchange of official and legally-binding documents between private and public parties.

Signing and verifying contracts, agreements and invoices or submitting documents to the public administration will be easy and convenient with Okular fully integrated into Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop.

#### What is Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop

Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop is an integrated collection of security tools and applications that allows users to easily encrypt and decrypt private documents and emails, and manage and use digital signatures and certificates.

The suite includes GnuPG and Kleopatra (another KDE product) for encryption and management of keys and certificates, an Outlook plugin for Windows, and seamless integration with the most popular email clients on Linux.

Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop is quickly becoming an essential part of the secure exchange of document-based information throughout Europe. It is approved in Germany for government restricted file and mail encryption and is used by NATO for EU/NATO RESTRICTED documents, has a large customer base with hundreds of thousands of installations across Europe and is readily available in Germany either through the major public sector IT suppliers or through a framework agreement with the Federal Government.

With the inclusion of Okular, we are adding document signing and signature verification to the list of features provided by Gpg4win/GnuPG VS-Desktop.

#### What is Okular

Okular is a PDF reader created and maintained by the KDE open source community. Okular is fast, lightweight and easy to use, and offers many features such as annotation, bookmarking and allows users to digitally sign documents and verify signatures on signed documents - a digitally signed document guarantees to the recipient that it was issued by the signer and has not been altered in any way during transmission.

Okular recently became the first, and at the time of writing the only, software package to be officially certified as environmentally friendly. The Blue Angel certificate, issued by the German Federal Environmental Agency, certifies, among other things, the openness and auditability of the code. This ensures that Okular is a secure and reliable application that can guarantee the privacy of its users and the confidentiality of their documents.
