I'm pretty certain that Qt4 doesn't handle coloured fonts but the B&W version of those symbols should be available in any up-to-date enough Unicode font.

Fonts have version numbers too (they're programmes) so don't hesitate to grab and install a recent copy of some free Google or Ubuntu font.
