Feature request: Transparent background

       Hi,

Gwenview is a really nice piece of software. I intend to use it as my 
primary tool for viewing images as soon as the pictures with a 
transparent background won't look that ugly:

I am using a lot slide shows in order to make presentations. The 
pictures I show are the ones I use on my web site  http://entrelacs.net/ 
and contain a lot of gif or png with transparent backgrounds.

They look horrible in gwenview with the grey checker board behind. Could 
we please have a tick in the preferences to paint the background with 
the default background preference? I saw a couple of mails in the 
archive around that subject already.
