imagine, in browsing mode (with imaged detached from the
browsing/thumbnails window for me in dual head) a square area of the
image that could be activated as a "magnifying glass" while viewing the
image.

it would, all the time, show a small portion of the current image, but
with a few more zoom-levels (ctrl+wheel on the magnifying glass would
change only the zoom-level of the magnifying glass). could be circled
with a thin red square/circle to be perfectly explicit

this would be *so* useful when sorting multiple shots of the same photo,
having both to determine which view is the sharpest _and_ which has the
best frame and overall goodness.

am i the only one thinking that this could be extremely useful (and
maybe not so hard to implement ?)
