Hello, Long time ago I needed something, very simple: When I travel with more people (and multiple cameras), I need to merge some directories. Photos from "carles" and from "magi", in one directory and sorted by Exif date. I did something (is really-very-beta): http://pintant.cat/qphotosort This program (command line and QT GUI) can get some directories and copy the files or link the files using exif date (and allows some offset -some people doesn't have the camera clock well configured-, and also allows to add a suffix -to know who took the photo-, etc.) How is people doing it? I like that output is a new directory with links/new files using YEAR-MONTH-DAY_HOUR:MIN:SEC... so Exif time order and name order is the same: then I can compress and send to somebody, I can upload using some photo album, etc. Somebody told me that digikam is able to do it. Using some Kipi plugin?
