What a pity. :-( I need to get the comment into the EXIF header, which I previously accomplished using Gwenview 1.4 and exiv2 to sync the comment fields. Several programs like the web album Gallery 2 can import the EXIF comment into their image description field, and I prefer to store the image information in a central place and independant of the image-viewer- or album-generator-of-the-day - who knows what app I'll be using 25, 30 or even more years from now to browse my old photo collection if I want to bore my grandchildren? ;) Does anyone here know any other tool by chance which makes editing the EXIF / JPEG / IPTC comment as easy as Gwenview 1.4 did? I'd like to keep GwenView 2 nevertheless and apparently need to find a new solution for commenting my images for the long term, anyway...
