Yes, the limit would only be on the displayed images, not the selected 
images.

Yes, one can list multiple files in one "install(FILES)" command.

That's the magic of the KDE translation system: just create your 
.desktop file in english and a nice script running on KDE servers will 
notice it, extract the text to translate for translators and reinject it 
back when it's translated.
