although I'm new here, i think that yahoo groups is more suitable for the
task (well, i actually would prefer Google groups, but it's a matter of
taste).
the must basic reason in my mind is that this place (yahoo groups) is kind
of a neutral ground.
Ubuntu-il is a very specific oriented community site and bundle kde-il with
it...well, it feels inappropriate
which brings me to the second reason.
as long as this list (with all of his history) continue on yahoo groups,
it's relatively independent.
on a web forum, the site owner owns the list.
he can moderate the forum as much as he wants to and answer no one (his
house, his rules)
also, the owner can decide he doesn't like me or the way i write and block
me.
yes, it can be done on this list too, but this things are less common on
mailing list than web forums.
not to mention that the site can be closed because lack of financial
resources (let's admit it, Ubuntu-il is kind of new in the scene and it's
the creation of two guys) or other technical reasons.
Ubuntu-il still needs to prove itself.
of course there are technical issues.
if i'm not mistaken, everything on this list also goes to kde mailing list
archive.
it would take some work to make every topic on the forum mailed to kde
mailing list archive.
oh, yeah, didn't Diego mentioned we would get some pr0n spam soon?:)
