When I start to read a video dvd, it runs like a bat out of hell. Then after just a few minutes the rate slows down till eventually it stablizes at about a 6 to 8 hour total to read the whole dvd. After just about 7 minutes I seem to running at around 1K every two seconds. The ETA for completion is showing currently at 2:30:51 but it will get longer and longer. I'm running gkrellm and there's no abnormal stuff going on in terms of load on the cpu or disks. I'm running k3b-1.0.1-1 on Core 4. Is this normal or am I doing something that could be improved?
