File size limit

What's the file size limit for burning a data dvd? I
have a data file exactly 4gb but it fails as k3b
"Could not determine size of resulting image file".
The output of mkisofs is
/usr/bin/mkisofs: Value too large for defined data
type. File /media/multimedia/20070707/media.7z.001 is
too large
Again the size is exactly 4gb. What do I have to do to
burn this?
