Hi, I am trying to burn a 3.6 GB ISO image (OpenSuSE 10.2) to a DVD+R medium, but when clicking on "start", I get the message: "Found media: DVD+R (empty) Please insert an empty CD-R(W) medium into drive" What does that mean? Why does K3B think it can burn 3.6 GB to a CD-R? If I use "force", the disk is created. But K3B does not seem to be able to detect the correct write speed for the DVD+R medium - it is marked as 16x, but K3B starts at 142x (!) and then switches back to 20x. Then it says "Enabled Burnfree" followed by "Disabled Burnfree". Why is burnfree first enabled and then immediately disabled? Why is it disabled at all? In the end, the verify succeeds: "The written image seems binary equal", but nevertheless the DVD is not readable! When trying to mount it, I get the message: /root>mount -tiso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt mount: block device /dev/cdrom is write-protected, mounting read-only mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, missing codepage or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so dmesg contains: cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize! cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize! The system is OpenSuSE 10.2 (x86_64), Linux 2.6.18, cdrecord is Wodim 1.0pre1, cdrdao is version 1.2.2. k3b is 0.12.17. Thanks a lot for any explanation or help getting K3B to work!
