In short, I am unable to burn an ISO image (more specifically, a
sysrescuecd iso image) to CD using the "Burn CD Image" under the Tools
menu. Though, burning the same ISO image to DVD works but since the ISO
image is less than 200MB, I'd like to burn it to a CD as opposed to a DVD.

On the first run, the ISO burn process failed and initially reported the
error "...probably an overrun error...try lowering the burning
speed...". I then re-ran the ISO burn with a lower burning speed.
Nonetheless, as I keep trying to burn a CD at a lower speed, it seems
that K3b cycles between the aforementioned error message and this one:
"...cdrecord returned an unknown error (code 1)...if you are running an
unpatched cdrecord version...and this error also occurs with high
quality media..."

The essential versions on my current system: Slackware 12.0
distribution, KDE 3.5.7, and K3b 1.0.2.

Somehow, I was successfully able to burn a similar ISO sysrescuecd image
to CD using K3b when I was running Slackware 11.0 several months ago.
According to my records, it looks like I used K3b version 1.0.1 at the time.

Has something changed? Do I need to do something different?

I have attached a debugging report for your convenience. If you want
more detailed information, just tell me what you want.

DPD.
