Re: building from source on Ubuntu Hardy 8.04.1

Hello again and thank you very much for your kind and quick response.

When I do $ sudo apt-get build-dep k3b system returns:

Leyendo lista de paquetes... Hecho
Creando árbol de dependencias       
Leyendo la información de estado... Hecho
E: Debe poner algunos URIs 'fuente' en su sources.list  (in english: You must add some source URI(URL)s in your sources.list)


I know sources.list file and I edit it every time I need to add a new repository but this time I'm not sure why this error is related with repositories.

Also, as I stated in my original message I'm having this error while trying to ./configure the International 1.05 version:

" checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X libraries. Please check your installation and add the correct paths! "

Other apps just compile ok so I'm totally lost with this one, may be it's related to KDE missing libs?

Its a common, mistake: you did not install the needed "*-dev" packages
It's not possible for me to list you what does k3b need, but you could 
use the dependences of the official source package by running:
     $ sudo apt-get build-dep k3b
That will fetch all the packages needed by the packaged k3b for your 
distribution. May be, the current snapshot will need a bit more, but it 
will be easier to fin dout what since you have done most of the job with 
the previous command.
