First off, I'm a new subscriber to this mailing list. Second, I have googled and searched to no avail for help with this irritation. Third this doesn't seem to affect the actual operation of the program, it is simply something that bugs me. I am running an AMD quad-core processor with tons of ram, lots of disc space, all on SATAII, including the LG dvd burner. OS is Ubuntu 8.04. Not using Compiz-Fusion. Issue is this: when burning a CD with k3b, the refresh rate on the burning window is incredibly slow (updates worse than once per second). This bugs me a lot, considering my computer specs. I have noticed to my dismay that people running windows (ugh) have nice smooth refresh rates when using their cd authoring software. Is there a configuration somewhere where I can bump this up so that the window refreshes say, ten times per second?
