writing to double layer DVD

Hi everybody,

I was trying to backup my DVD using the DVD copy feature of k3b 1.65 alpha, 
which came with Mandriva 2009.1. K3b refused to write to the target drive 
reporting that I would need a growisofs version >5.2. Interestingly, the 
growisofs version installed is 7.1. Has anybody encountered this before? Is 
there a quick and dirty fix for this?
