Session fixating takes ages

Hi,

I'm using opensuse 11.3 x64 kernel 2.6.34.7-0.4-default with KDE4
(4.4.4), K3b (2.0.1; packman release) and an LG GH22NS50 DVD burner.

Before updating to KDE4 and K3b 2.0 I had no problems burning cd/dvds. 

Ever since updating I have massive problems while closing / fixating a
session, please see the following excerpt from a k3b logfile:

As you can see, fixating took 746s and during this time the whole PC
froze up, only the mouse was movable - everything else blocked.

What can I do to fix this?
