Re: UI-Glitch?

after reading this I've just pulled in current git head and was curious about 
search bar.

I prefer

I've configured the thumbnail view to show some categories (for example 
places, people). Here the search bar is really nice.
What I miss is that I can focus on the thumbnails pressing <tab>. When doing 
so I get somewhere I'm not really interested in.
Next strange thing: When on an other page (like the start page) after focusing 
on the icons (like places, people) I can move the selection to any icon using 
the cursor buttons or using the first letter. But when pressing <enter> 
nothing happens. I'd expect getting to places when places is selected and I 
press <enter>.

In case you can't decide which version to implement, what about letting the 
user decide and have a configure option in the options dialog? Such as "focus 
on search bar in thumbnail view".
