(Please keep the Kiosk list on the CC when answering, so others can read it as well - Thanks!) Hmm, even then I would contact the Konsole developers, since crashes should never happen. Do you get a useful backtrace or the typical rubbish that non-debug versions of KDE tend to produce? Are you able to create a debug-enabled version of Konsole? Are you able to run Konsole through valgrind and see what goes wrong and where? Lots of questions, no answers. Sorry :/ Martijn On Thursday 19 January 2006 15:35, you wrote: > Sorry about confusion. > > Both emails where about konsole profiles and kiosk profiles > > Konsole only crashes when a user is assigned a Kiosk profile while using a > konsole profile. > > Martijn Klingens <[email protected]> > 01/19/2006 05:58 AM > > To > [email protected] > cc > [email protected] > Subject > Re: [Kde-kiosk] Konsole Crash - Open SUSE 10 with KDE 3.5 supplement (also > profile ignored ) > > > > > > > Hi, > > On Thursday 12 January 2006 01:56, [email protected] wrote: > > Here the short story. > > > > user x save a konsole profile as abc > > create a new user y > > start kde and konsole for y > > copy abc to y ( /home/y/.kde/share/apps/konsole/profiles) > > in konsole window type konsole --profile abc > > try to use menubar ( bam --- crash it goes) > > > > *** actually forget the profile its crashes with just running konsole > > > > note: when using the profile in the cmd ... konsole never seems to use > > it > > > ( even when i put it in /opt/kde3/share/apps/konsole/profiles ) > > This is a completely different kind of profile as a Kiosk profile, and > doesn't > actually involve Kiosk. > > Could you please contact the Konsole developers about this?
