Kdesktoprc config file attributes

Hi All,

I notice there is a UseSHM attribute in the kdesktoprc file that is
usually set to off.  Is there any more info anywhere on what this does. 
We will have lots of KDE users on the same machine - will that setting
help reduce memory usage?
