moving users from one box to another.

Hi,

I am trying to copy user homes from one box to another.
kde3.3 -> kde3.5.1

When the users logs in for the first time, he must run through the
KPersonalizer wizard.
why doesn't it use his existing ~/.kde files?

Infact, nothing is remembered. Wallpaper, themes, application
modifications _nothing_

Firefox bookmarks and thunderbird accounts aren't picked up either.

UID and GID are the same on both boxes.

Any ideas?
