Hi all, we have in mEDUXa a problem related with kiosk configurations: We have restricted some actions to our 5 profiles (2 for students, 2 for teachers and 1 for computer lab administrators) using, among others, kdeglobals. The point is that when a user configure a mail account in kmail and then closes and opens again the app, all user's mail account configurations get lost. If we pass kdeglobals to user's home, it does work but by doing this users can change the configurations. After reading kiosk mode documentation, I still don't understand how to configure kdeglobals so it do not affects kmail or kmail works properly. This is our /local/share/kde-profile/meduxa_prof_basico/share/config/kdeglobals [$i] [DesktopIcons] Animated=true Size=48 [General] fixed=DejaVu Sans Mono,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 font=DejaVu Sans,11,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 menuFont=DejaVu Sans,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 taskbarFont=DejaVu Sans,11,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 toolBarFont=DejaVu Sans,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 widgetStyle=lipstik [Global Shortcuts] Popup Launch Menu=default(Alt+F1);Win [KDE] ChangeCursor=true EffectAnimateCombo=true EffectFadeMenu=false EffectFadeTooltip=false EffectsEnabled=true OpaqueResize=true ShowIconsOnPushButtons=true cursorTheme=kubuntu [KDE Action Restrictions][$i] action/bookmarks=false action/configdesktop=false action/font=false action/kwin_rmb=false action/openintab=false #action/openwith=false action/properties=false action/show_dot=false print/properties=false shell_access=true start_new_session=false user/root=true editable_desktop_icons=false [KSpell] KSpell_Client=1 KSpell_Encoding=11 [Paths] Trash=$HOME/Desktop/Papelera/ [PreviewSettings] BoostSize=true MaximumSize=5242880 [WM] activeFont=DejaVu Sans,12,-1,5,75,0,0,0,0,0 I don't see anything that should affect to kmail so I guess we haven't get the correct idea of how apps works related with jiosk mode. Is there some doc I can pass to our techicians about these? K mail is such a popular app that I suppose somebody has face this problem before Thanks AgustÃn Benito Coordinador del desarrollo de mEDUXa [email protected] [email protected] www.grupocpd.com www.agustin.ejerciciosresueltos.com
