I've found it's the 'General' section that seems to stop kmail settings from being saved: [General] fixed=DejaVu Sans Mono,10,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 font=DejaVu Sans,11,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 menuFont=DejaVu Sans,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 taskbarFont=DejaVu Sans,11,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 toolBarFont=DejaVu Sans,12,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 widgetStyle=lipstik If there is a '[$i]' after General, then kmail settings aren't saved. All the other settings options can have a '[$i]' after them to make them immutable, without affecting kmail. -- Richard
