Generic questions about kiosk

Hi all, this is my first message in this list. Go with the first question:

1-Wich file does kiosktool use? I would like to know how it
works/interacts with kde. Answering that, yuo'll probably answer the
second question:
2-wich files do I have to backup to save kiosk settings?
3-I have a kde installation on a chroot envirorment. If I know wich
files kiosk uses, I can copy them to the chroot envirorment so I have
the same settings.
  Am I right or do I have to consider also other things?
4-unfortunatly there's not any documentation, that's why I'm here :).

That sounds like an abandoned project but in the debian repository
it's available the 1.0 version. Is this project alive or not?
I realy hope so. It's a great tool for schools and probably many other things.
I also hope it will work also on kde4.
