New KnowIt file format

Hello,

Is anybody still here? I hope KnowIt is not dead. I am planning a partial 
rewrite. First goal is to design flexible and extensible XML format.

So, I would like to ask those who are interested, what features will be 
necessary? Below are my first thoughts and additional questions:

Supported per-note information:
* body (I have to check how to encode HTML in XML, but I hope it is possible)
* icon (question: how to represent this information)
* date of last modification (should it be optional)
* open/closed status (for folders)
* id (numeric note id)
* attachments (links, pictures etc.)

Any suggestions?
