I agree. And as far as I can judge it, this is content that doesn't take too much time to maintain as it doesn't change too often or at least not completely. > Then the "user" knowledge content can go on the userbase website (we currently > have some in koffice's wiki which should go elsewhere but was there in lack > of a better solution). Tutorials, FAQ, etc... And of course the koffice > website would link to that content. My impression is that tutorials, documentation, etc. both for users and developers change a lot more regularly - or at least *should* change more frequently - which led me to the conclusion that everything that goes beyond the pure presentation of KOffice should move to userbase resp. techbase for easier maintenance and better accessibility. The main site should of course link to all 'external' resources to spare the hassle of searching the web to those who are interested. And vice-versa. Here is a graphic version of my thoughts/concept, I hope that helps to discuss the whole affair. :) http://untangled.biz/stuff/KOffice_Web_Presence.gif Ignore the 'lifestream' for now, I'll cover that later. ;) What I'd really like to see is a CMS based landing page as this makes editing of any content so much quicker and easier for everybody. To my experience, wordpress might be a good choice as it barely needs technical maintenance (maybe 5mins/month), combines static with dynamic content and provides a zillion of plugins for every need. I would be able to set it up though I might need some help on coming up with a good looking template... (but first things first). I think this pretty much answers Cornelius' questions, correct me if I'm wrong. -- Alexandra > -- > Cyrille Berger > ____________________________________ > koffice mailing list > [email protected] > To unsubscribe please visit: > https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice >
