Problem with TV Wonder pro

I just got a TV Wonder pro and have it working now with xawtv just fine using 
a cvs snapshot of v4l.  I would really like to use kdetv but i keep getting 
this error then the kdetv window freezes up:

v4ldev: VIDIOCGAUDIO: Invalid argument

Any ideas?
