Downloads section should rewrite Gentoo instalation like this:

emerge sync
echo "media-tv/kdetv ~x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords
emerge kdetv 

The old way of installing kdetv cause the downgrading of kdetv when the system 
is updated.
