kdeTV problems

Hi,

I've tried to get my TV card up and running for a while now, but I'm 
quite at a loss. To be honest I'm not even a 100% sure of where the 
error might lie, it might be my graphics driver, it might be my saa7134 
chip, and today it seems to me it might have something to do with my V4L 
driver / module...

ANY hints on what might be the 'cause of my problems will be highly 
appreciated.

I'll apologise if this problem's not directly related to the kdeTV app, 
but I'm deperate after ANY hints on what may 'cause my problems.

I will try to sum up my problems.
1. I can't get any TV app to work at all, the errors seem to be 
different depending on what kind of software I'm trying out.
2. 'tvtime' tells me that I need a graphics card with YUY2 support, 
XVinfo tells me I've got YUV12 and YUV support but no YUY2. A little 
search on the web about this is kinda frustrating because ATI says their 
Radeon cards have supported YUY2 since radeon 8500, and my x1900gt card 
is like less than 6 months old. This led me to think it may be my fglrx 
driver, but google haven't prooved nor unproved that suspicion.
3. 'mythTV' : gives me a whole bunch of errors I don't understand... but 
it all sums up to the whole program crash'es when it comes to actually 
viewing any moving pictures (to be honest I think I may have gotten lost 
somewhere in setting up that one)
4. KDETV starts up and gives me the error leading me to think this may 
be a v4l issue, the error message is : "Unable to grab video.
Video display is not possible with the current plugin configuration. Try 
playing with the configuration options of the V4L2 plugin." trying to 
play around with v4l plugin gives me a blank screen, where I have to do 
a 'ctrl + alt + F1' to console and kill KDETV.

I've got a ATI Radeon x1900gt graphics card with working 3d drivers 
(fglrx), AND overlay enabled (not OpenGL but Xv). The card runs for 
instance Quake 4 with no problems at all, nor do I have any problems 
viewing movies through mplayer.
I've got a Terratec 250PCI TV card with the saa7134 tv chip.

I probably should add some info here about xvinfo or Xorg.0.log output, 
or any output from for example kdetv or lsmod...
But as I said I don't know which one of these will actually help me 
about figuring out what may be wrong, so I guess what I need first of 
all is any guidance on where to start error checking these issues.
