... but that one is a different issue. I g uess you took the wrong URL
and meant this one? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=288985

It has a link to a workaround, which says:

  Delete those in the config file. Check for
  [Containments][**][Applets][**][Configuration][Launchers]
  in ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc

Do this while not being logged in, I think the file would get
overwritten. And I suggest backing up this file regulary, I often had
problems with it. Or even better save the whole .kde4/share/config.
