What do you mean "mistake"?

As you say, this is definitely a case of something from the real world 
that shouldn't be modelled by GUIs. Imagine you are trying to scroll a 
huge, complex document. Just when you need all the performance you can 
get from the computer, it is deliberately slowing down.
