Perhaps YOU could. I know nothing of creating a virtual file system.
My point was simply that if you want it right now you need nothing more
complicated than bash, awk and grep. (No need to hang around panting for it.
After all, isn't empowerment what Unix and KDE are all about?) Although.....
I suppose you could just mount a ramdisk and create the mount points there. I
haven't tried using mount points in a ramdisk, but I see no reason why they
wouldn't work. That would count.
(BTW, the script also has to allow for the possibility that an automount
daemon got there first. Then only the named mount should be done.)
